Preparing for a good meeting with Jehovah’s Witnesses:

  • The goal of this meeting is to put a stone in their shoe. Jehovah’s Witnesses are typically very prepared to discuss their theology with Christians. Your goal is to give them something to think about that will help make them question Jehovah’s Witness theology and the Watchtower. Don’t get frustrated if they don’t see the errors in their religion in your first meeting. It’s a process; put a stone in their shoe.
  • Remember to stick to the topics that really matter such as Jesus’ divinity, salvation by grace through faith, and the Trinity. Don’t waste time discussion why they don’t celebrate most holidays or why they refuse blood transfusions. Keep the most important topics the focus of your discussion.
  • Be kind. It’s easy to get agitated or even angry when talking about such important issues in Scripture. Remember to be calm, kind, and respectful.
  • Pray for the Jehovah’s Witnesses before your meeting, during your meeting, and after they leave. Prayer is important.
